Hire him fast, I'm already tired of hearing about it.

Are they citing the fake Flight Radar image, or the Alabama message board post saying "I just saw Dan Lanning in Tuscaloosa"?

Day isn’t a fit compared to those three

Today, you're not gay, but one day, you wake up, you like men, Nick Saban retires and we're screwed and everyone's hearing it from Dan Rather! This one is for if the SEC is invaded by Zimbabwe...

The nature of college football seems to make for coaches who are to the right of Genghis Khan. I can't even think of a liberal football coach, especially a white one.

That was still in the locker from before Saban was hired. Just having fun.

Besides, Rich Rod's doing good at Jax State, they oughta give him a look.

There's nothing I like more than bammer angst. The doc I worked for was a huge 'Bama guy, Daniel Moore paintings, autographed pictures in his office, all that. Back when Texas took a run at Saban I'd collect columns and tweets about how he was going to Austin and kept forwarding them or showing them to him. Just tortured hell out of him.

He was the first person I showed that RichRod in Bama gear picture.

He *really* liked the picture of Bear Bryant wearing a green tie with a UAB pin in his lapel, signed "Go Blazers, Paul "Bear" Bryant.

It ain't gonna be Ryan Day. He's from New Hampshire and he has put up a lot of his own money to create an infrastructure of mental health support for his players. Sounds like a libruhl to me.
The demo for this job has to be somebody in his late 50s or early 60s or later: somebody who's looking for a payday rather than someone who has a long career ahead of him that he'd like to avoid ruining.
Don't kid yourself. The next guy will not last long.

Speaking of UAB, the Saban replacement story reminds me of Gene Bartow. Replaced Wooden. Had two excellent (but non-championship) years at UCLA and got run off. Created the program at UAB and put the school on the map.

Brian Ferentz: Available. Son of a coaching legend. Unique offensive scheme.

    Just saying … :)

You'd be surprised how quickly they can pump them out. Voice-over people generally have studios at home, someone e-mails them the copy and the length of the spot, the VO gets cut and returned in an e-mail in a file (perhaps multiple versions) - maybe with sound effects etc. provided by the VO person or the station does their own - It can be done in an hour.
