As for the rappers you mentioned, I only know who Wiz is because I'm originally from Pittsburgh and I don't know who DeGrassi High guy is. Rappers who have come out with music in the past five years that I still listen to: Kanye, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Common, Lupe Fiasco, and Drake.

And there's nothing wrong with 10th-grade wordplay. For every "Stan," Eminem had a "Without Me." And they were both fucking great.

Ah, I see. I guess that's what I get for not watching much non-serialized drama tv. Wiz Khalifa is the guy who sings the inane Black-and-Yellow song.

Also, on the list of rappers, I forgot to mention G-Side and Theophilus London. Although, I'm not really sure I'd classify London as being a rapper.
