    What happened?

I assume that was some sort of a retribution for last night?

Yankees: Reliever they brought in threw high and way inside at the first batter he faced and got run immediately.

Gross: Lopped four points off his average today and is officially sitting at the Mendoza Line.

Opponents are hitting something like .340 against Livan this season. Why would a 'big game' change that?

Well, teams have been known to downplay the seriousness of an injury. When I hear rotator cuff strain, I always think, 'OK, just how bad is the tear?"

Back to actual baseball, I'm sitting in LF as the Yankees blast the hell out of the Orioles, 13-3 in the eighth.

Wakefield has a hell of a lot more of a track record than Perkins or Blackburn.

I'm no stat whiz, but Alex Gordon's line today is pretty amazing. 0-for-0 with five walks. When's the last time something like that has happened?

I know two years ago Derek Jeter with 0-0 with three walks and a hit-by-pitch, but five plate appearances without an official at-bat has gotta be pretty rare
