I have to think Bonds had a few of those during his steroidal glory days.

It's only happened 18 times since 1956, but 9 of those were since 2000.

A player simply walking five times in a game has happened 61 times since 1956 -- Bonds, as expected, has three of them, more than any other player in that period.

I'm watching Jamie Moyer get lit up here, and it occurs to me that the Phillies really can't afford to have him getting ripped.

Which, in turn, just might indicate how precarious a position the Phillies are in.

I remember Nelson Liriano as a backup infielder for the Blue Jays in the late 80s. I wonder whatever became of him.

Pittsburgh does this same thing. Not sure what the point of it is.

When Soriano plays like this, he's worth every penny of his salary.

Why didn't Fielder catch that ball?

This is why the Brewers might miss the playoffs ... stupid shit like this.

  10. well, o.k., it IS the Nationals, but I'll take five run innings where I can get them. Good job, Phils.

It must be contagious. The Tigers just put four across in the fifth against Cliff Lee. 8-6 game right now.
