No chance Pudge ever walked five times in the same game. Has he ever even walked five times in a season?

You're right -- he's definitely the most unusual player on that list.

A couple of things to note about Pudge's 5-walk game:
- None of those were intentional. Three of them were 5-pitch walks, one was on 4 pitches and the one by Benitez was a 7-pitch at-bat.
- Two of them came with a runner on second and first base open. One came with two outs and no runners on. Another loaded the bases. No explanation there, either.
- Pudge only hit .300 (<a href="http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/pvb.cgi?n1=leiteal01&n2=rodriiv01">in 28 PAs</a>) off Al Leiter, so it wasn't like he killed him every time out. Leiter hadn't faced Pudge in eight years before that game.
- D-Lee was batting behind him (although Lee was only hitting .214 at the time.) So he wasn't being pitched around.

Very, very strange game for a guy who rarely walks.
