OK, so the more I think about this, the more I don't understand.

Some GMs are allegedy disinterested in Adam Dunn because of his alleged disinterest in baseball. But ... his OBP is near .400, and he has 32 home runs and 74 RBIs. No one in baseball the past 5-6 seasons has more homers than him. Who gives a shit if his defense is horrendous? Who gives a shit if he doesn't like baseball? Look at those numbers. Why wouldn't a team want his bat at the deadline? I just don't get it. He's a run-producing machine.

Hell, he can DH in the AL, and then he's just a run-producing machine who doesn't love baseball.

But in his defense, the GM who said Dunn doesn't like baseball was J.P. Ricciardi, who says a lot of strange shit.

The Braves got 2 2/3 good years (and one mediocre year) out of Hudson. None of the three guys they traded for him — Dan Meyer, Charles Thomas and Juan Cruz — has been a difference-maker in the majors, though Cruz is a decent middle reliever ...

 

On the bright side, Mike Hampton is still in the rotation.

That is a good point, Steak. Not exactly the McGriff-for-3-bums deal, but the Braves should be plenty happy with what they've gotten from Hudson.
