Yeah, you're right. And Washburn is a better option, I guess. Both suck, but at least Washburn is a lefty.

    He's less bad than Ponson.

Sydney Ponson 4.59 ERA Livan Hernadez 5.48 ERA. I can't stand either but Hernadez is done.

Livan might be the worst starting pitcher in the bigs. Ponso is bad..... but he's about 2 steps above Livan. I'm not sure Livan could get AAA hitters out consistently.

Ned Yost must secretly be a Cubs fan.

Why baseball is such a great game: Andy Pettitte can't get the best-team in baseball out on a Thursday but Sidney Ponson can shut them out for seven innings the next day.

I love your fucking team, but I have no doubt my fucking team will fuck up against your fucking team.

Baseball is a Funny Game, example 543,219.

The Cubs can do no wrong, the Brewers can do no right in a four-game sweep at Miller Park Monday through Thursday.

On Friday: Pirates 3, at Cubs 0, and Brewers lead at Atlanta, 6-0, after four.

Now, yes, you can explain the Brewers score by saying, "They're playing the Braves," but then explain the Cubs averaging 7.8 runs in the four games at Miller Park and then getting shut out at home.

Not with Chuck James starting and Buddy Carlyle relieving. Oh, and Julian Tavarez.

Glavine to McMichael to Wohlers, this is not. Ugh.
