Wanna hear something crazy? Someone at ESPN saw Eduardo Perez audition and said, "I think he would be a good fit on Baseball Tonight."

Yes, you read it wrong. Eight games. Still two left in this weekend's series, you bozo. :D Can't pick a decent singer ... can't read a baseball schedule for the next two days ... other than the Star In A Reasonably-Priced Car appearance on Top Gear, you're just overflowing with fail. ;D

But yeah ... six in Anaheim (next weekend and second weekend of September, right after Labor Day).

Yes. And God willing, the wild card will come from the AL Central.

Well, yeah, but we already know about ESPN's hiring practices. :D

And that's why you aren't a ML exec.

    Seriously, fucking moronic.

The piece of garbage took three strikes without taking the bat off his shoulder a few weeks ago. It's not that he can't be counted on in the clutch, it's that he can't be depended on to motivate himself to play.

    Yup.

Plenty of room still on the bandwagon, directed by ME.***

***2muchCoffeeman and GB-Hack aren't on the bandwagon, having marched all alone on the highway of fail the last 10 seasons. :D

Also, Eduardo Perez isn't even on the top (or bottom) five of Baseball Tonight suckos. Orestes Destrade makes my ears bleed every single time he utters a syllable. And what blows my mind is I can't picture anyone going "Hey. I wonder what that former Yankees farmhand who was the Marlins' first-ever first baseman is doing now. Let's find him and put him on TV!"

I also marched on the Braves Highway of Fail from the early 1970s on ... I have a long history of waiting for baseball franchises to find themselves.

(And lose themselves again, in the Braves' case.)

One NL team. One AL team. That's enough misery for one lifetime.

I'm old enough to remember when Dave Marash hosted Baseball Tonight. Talk about a guy completely out of his league.

    Was he the first host?

Yeah. 1990. I still have some old tapes. The highlight music was great.

But he was so bad it's not funny.

That's about the time Allie Sherman hosted Inside the NFL
