Moron Fredi Gonzalez is up 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth, pinch-hits for Scott Olsen with the bases loaded and two out.

Olson had 95 pitches and had allowed one infield hit. The odds on that extra simply aren't good enough to justify losing a dominant pitcher for two more innings.

    Dipshit.

First hitter in the top of the seventh hits a tape-measure shot.

Gonzalez is the Marlins' biggest liability in the final 8 weeks.

lest they blow it, yanks should have their best win of the season today: down to lackey 5-0, now up 8-5 with nady supplying the go-ahead three-run homer in the seventh.

That White Sox-Royals brawl was pussy, even by baseball standards.

The Royals and Sox just engaged in the wussiest benches-clearing incident of all time, which is something, considering the sport.

Bases loaded, one out, bottom five... Carrasco comes up and in on Olivo thrice. Second time hits the knob of the bat. Third time it catches Olivo in the wrist, and he makes the most indecisive charge in history. Hmm..

    FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

Royals and White Sox get a little testy. D.J. Carrasco went up and in at Miguel Olivo. Took one off the bottom of the bat, then one on the fingers, so Olivo charged. Stopped before he got there, somewhat by A.J. Pier. Carrasco sorta slapped Olivo's head, and as he was being pulled away, Olivo bopped Pier in the head. Both were ejected. Ozzie Guillen was ejected for going ballistic after Carrasco was ejected.

Weirdest stat of the day: Reggie Willits, who is hitting .185, is 0-for-0 with four walks.

Well, given that the stat lines on those two are pretty close, pardon me for going with the guy who has done it all season.

Mike Aviles now 4-for-4 with 3 RBI today as the Royals go up 10-0 on the Sox. You're welcome, Twins :D

If you think that .934 WHIP is close to 1.312, or 74/8 K/BB is close to 47/22.... I can't help you. ERA is the only close critical category.
