    Motherfucker.

Where was Rivera? Why the fuck wasn't he in the game?

Up 8-5 and with two outs, Edwar Ramirez walks Willits, single to Figgins, walks Aybar after being ahead 0-2 and serves up a fucking grand slam to Teixeira.

    Fuckfuckfuckfuck.

I love how you just slide around which sample sizes should apply and which statistics matter depending on the argument.

The one point that nobody can argue is Nolasco has never done this for a full season. Hot streaks happen. I'm not ready to declare Ubaldo Jiminez a superstar yet, either, but he has been spectacular since the start of July. (I know. Wrong division. Just an example).

Edit: Yeah, Teixeira doesn't ever do anything clutch.

This Angels-Yanks game is pretty great.

Yup, and Scoscia may not see the end of it if he doesn't shut his mouth.

Liriano goes six shutout in his return, giving up just three hits (and one was an error) and striking out five.

Fastball almost all the way back, though not quite. 91-94 with late life. Change is much improved, 81-84, and though he floated a couple, he appeared to have pretty good command of it.

Throwing two different sliders, one more a slurve to contact and one the nasty one everyone remembers to put people away.

He was aiming a bit and Redmond got frustrated with him a couple times. But if the home plate ump didn't have a can he easily would have struck out 6-7.

All told, pretty damn solid. Twins lead 5-1 in the seventh. Oh yeah, and if the scores hold, he'll have pitched them into first place.

Not really his fault. Two errors behind him.

Well, not his fault today anyway. But he can really be a gas can sometimes.

Other times, he's unhittable as fuck. Go figure.

I wonder which fast food he ate today.

A-Rod grounded into a double play which the Angels' 3B misplayed, what with having his hands around his neck the entire time.

    Fuckin' Yankees.

Jesus. Shields, feel free to -- to steal a phrase -- throw your defense off a cliff today. ::)

    Fucking hell.

Seriously, three errors in one inning.

Of course, with the way this one is going, the Yankees need a six-spot here to assure winning.
