    When I see people like Joe Mather, a mid-20s, career minor leaguer from Idaho coming out of nowhere to mash it for the Cardinals, I think ... "steroids."

    I think it's OK. Everyone knows he's a Chicago guy, and it's a tradition to say something along those lines.
