    It didn't make me think he's some sort of homer. I think he has a good enough reputation to do something like that.

    He has worn a Cubs jersey on TV many times and openly admits being a fan.

    He's a columnist.

    And he doesn't often write about baseball.

    I think he's fine.

    I like how La Russa yanked Kennedy out of the game after that through-the-wickets ball. With that an the terrible strikeout he made earlier, Kennedy might not see the field again this season.

    And with Carpenter hurt, it's almost time to stick the fork in the Cards.
