    Is it me, or has there been more almost-no-hitters this year than most at this point in the season?

    Compared to the last several years, absolutely.

    Hell, just the fact we've had two actual no-hitters is noteworthy in this decade. 2001 had three (almost four, if Mussina had gotten Carl Everett out), and 2003 had two*. This has been a pretty good year, for sure.


    * one was a combined no-no
