Buck, we shall review and respond. Boom is negotiating with David Ortiz's doctor to keep Papi in bed a little longer, so we are a little tied up at the moment.

I understand, some people still have baseball to think about.
The rest of us are relegated to football.
I've just got a balance problem at receiver and a soft spot in my backfield that I must address.

I think you need the Boots thread for that.

Buck, actually you are in the playoffs. It's the consolation playoffs, but playoffs all the same. ;)

It's true, Buck, you have a bye this week.

(Now explain this to me, the contenders for the championship have to play, but Buck and ChrisL have a bye in the consolation bracket??)

Here's a thought for the future...could/should the rosters be locked for the playoffs? No moves? Dance with who brung ya?

    OK, that was funny.

I know I'm in the consolation bracket; I'm just not thinking about that at the moment. I'll wait until the end of the week.
And 21 has a good point, next year we should consider locking the rosters for the playoffs.

I can't remember for sure, but I don't think Yahoo allows the locking of rosters before the playoffs.

Of course there's nothing that says we can't put in a rule of our own like that and everyone follow it.

Why would we change rules for the playoffs, when the whole season has been played with roster movement?

My point with the roster movement is one of availability.
My worry is a consolation-bracket team acquiring a player that an actual playoff team was going to pick up, that's all.

If still in this chair next year, I will consider setting up sweeping rule changes on roster movement -- including the possibility of expanded rosters, but ones that are set on Mondays and that's it.

    It's just an idea.

Yahoo does allow locking of rosters for the playoffs as well as locking of rosters on the first day of the week with any drop/adds not being realized until the beginning of the next matchup -- not that I am in favor of either in any way.

rather than expanded rosters, I'd prefer seeing fewer MI, CI and Util players. A good, old fashioned 9-man starting roster seems nice.
