Um, the first line may make it tough for the second line to occur.

Idaho, with all due respect, which in your case is zero, you conceded long ago. Best wishes.

That is really flawed logic. What took more work - just leaving your team on automatic pilot for the two weeks or going in and benching 18 players - one at a time ?

You're the Moddy - you are supposed to beyond reproach- its very disapointing. Have you always been a take your ball and go home kind of guy?

You two are really on one.

If you must know, it took all of 45 seconds or so to bench the players. You know all about benching players, right?

And if you want to whine about teams not giving it everything they have until the last day, let's take a look at the list:
That's seven of 12 teams that 'took their ball and went home' long before I did. Yet, you two seem to think I'm the only one worthy of your scorn. Your outrage is pretty darn selective and childish. But, then again, I wouldn't expect anything more from you, Boom.

But since you're in a huff, I'll give it the old college try. I figure if I can win the AVG, SB and OPS stats -- not too tough to get those -- and the Wins, Saves, ERA, K/BB and WHIP stats, I can get an 8-6 victory for third. Game on, boomy.

They may not be making roster changes but they also did not sit their players either.

Look this was a good league this year with most playing hard and making many adjustments to lineup day to day. It was obvious that as a group people were playing to win- until your childish act.
You owed it to the league members to play it out and not pull your cheap stunt.

You can call me all the names you want but I am on firm ground here. I was not the one who benched my team.

Bottom line, is that we looked forward to playing you one last time. It was a fun season, and we hoped to end it that way. Couldn't care less what the other teams did, it didn't affect us in any way.

And by the way, since you bring it up, when we benched our starting pitchers for a game last season, it was in the spirit of competition--to win.  Not to intentionally lose.

Whatever.  Dooley, Big Dog....thanks for the good show this week.  Fun to watch you battle it out...good luck!

    Again

You're right. I'm wrong. You win the argument because I'm no longer interested in being in it.

It's THIRD PLACE. If anyone is taking this stuff too seriously, it certainly ain't me.

Have fun sucking in the football league. :p

Woops, I was right. My sarcasm-font-detector was on the fritz. This line proves it.

Anyone claiming to be looking forward to playing a third-place matchup is clearly just pulling our legs. You two really had me going there. Good one! You got me.

Why are you so obsessed with this being a 3rd place match up? Who cares? It's for fun. Get it? Fun. As in, we love baseball and wanted to play out the season. We could have finished 12th....we would have still played. Duh.

I'm one of the people who stopped caring when I realized I wasn't going to make the playoffs. But I didn't take my ball and go home, as Idaho put it. I did stop actively trying to acquire free agents, but I didn't bench my entire team.

I can't believe I'm siding with Boom on something, but Idaho, that was a crappy move on your part.
