You know, that would be one awesome late-night threadjack.

I went through pitchers like DyePack goes through hand lotion.

Idaho has more wives than I had visits to the league page during the football season.

You're right, taters, this is fun. :)

Idaho had less playoff berths than parking tickets.

BYH has just as many legitimate Prancing Billy titles as I have league titles.

    That's a lie!! I'll sue!! :D

There were more transactions made by the Evil Hots than attempts at outing 21 (terrible phrasing my apologies).

Big Dog scored more in the NIAFL than he ever did with Dorothy Hamill.

Idaho made more transactions than snarky comments about my parking tickets. (last parking ticket reference...probably)

    So true!

I had one NIAFL playoff berth last year, but TWO parking tickets. But that didn't exactly fit the metaphor theme to the threadjack.

The Hots vote vehemently for a weekday morning draft.

Disagree with changing the roster size....baseball always has plenty of free agents. Unlike football, where the key guys play every week, baseball has the off-days where you need your bench. Huge part of the game is being on top of the daily lineups....gotta have a bench for that. And the bench gives you flexibility to decide if you want to lean on hitting or pitching.

    Cannot wait.

I agree with that, but I kinda like leagues where teams have to take risks with dropping and adding players.

A deep bench keeps people on top of their own teams, true. But a deep free agent pool keep owners aware of the entire league.

I won't complain if there are five bench spots and we load up with pitchers, but I think it'd be fun to see people try to keep up with all the free agents to see if someone dropped a key player because they needed to find a few more strikeouts to get that point in the weekly matchup.

Both setups have their plus sides.

Regardless of the bench size, it's impossible to win at this game without mining for free agents--the season is too long to rely on your basic draft. You could have ten guys on your bench, you still should probably dump half your team by June 1.

It sounds like late morning, like 11am, would be an ideal time to have the draft.

Paging BigDog, get us registered! I prefer a weekday before 4 p.m. EST
I'll send him a PM also. But he hasn't posted in more than two weeks, so hopefully he gets the message soon.
New stat modifier this year -- minimum innings pitched. It's not a Innings Pitched Stat (although that is available), but methinks it's a qualifier for you to get pitching points, i.e. you have to pitch XX number of innings by your entire staff to be qualified to win any of the pitching stat points.

    From the official Yahoo Rules

I'd say sometime in the morning is even better.
