    Oz,

Do you have give me commissioner rights for football so I can get things going for 2014?

    2014 football draft:

    1 p.m. (EST) Aug. 22

    What says the membership?

Also for your consideration, I'd like to eliminate fractional scoring and move back to a starting lineup that includes two WRs and one WR/RB flex spot.

    Anything else up for discussion?

I'm good one way or another, but I've never understood the animus towards fractional points.

I don't intend to inflict change by fiat. I'm not Oz.

If the majority wants fractional points, I'm cool with it.

I prefer not to have it because I think it's unnecessary, but that isn't a very compelling argument.

The is a league of the members, by the members, for the members.

At least it is this season.

Thank you Commissioner Buck. Agree completely on the reversion to the old scoring and positions.

I never understood the value of fractional points. The NFL uses whole points, why shouldnt we?

I think we lost Lugnuts last season, sort of recall she was in but never played. If thats the case, the Machine Head is up for full membership. Anyone else not returning?

I'm interested in filling in should there be an opening and the membership deem me acceptable.

Buck, you can just start the league. You don't need Oz to hand you the reigns.

Also, there should be a way to link past leagues so the whole league history is there. Not exactly sure how to do it. Title it NIAFL or search for that and it might come up? Past commishes might be able to help there.

And wait, Buck won the league last year? How do I not remember that?

There's an option for renewing the league for 2014, but one must have existing commissioner rights to do so.
I figured that was the safest way to ensure that our league's illustrious history is not lost.

I can adjust settings and scoring after the renewal, but I will allow plenty of time for our discussions to play out.

If there are any members who know they will not be playing, let us know.

I think 21 raises a great point, as she usually does: Is there anyone who has been ignoring their league duties or has been unable to fulfill them?

I am as guilty as the next of having lapses during extremely poor seasons or getting too busy to really stay on top of the action; however, I don't think I've ever gone absentee for a full season.

It is important that we maintain the competitive integrity of our league, that is part of what makes us the best.

Losing Lugs would be a great blow, but if she can't play I am all in favor of moving Machine Head in, following our time-honored tradition of allowing single-league members first crack at full membership.

No offense, Vombatus, but that has been SOP for us.

    No problem, Buck. Fully understand!

I think there is a way to not renew the league and still have the league history exported to the new league.

It has been a while since I've set up a league though (NIAFL or otherwise). But we don't often have repeat commissioners and I don't think they renewed the league, passing the torch to the next. But I could be wrong on that.

That date and time for the draft works well. I can be fairly flexible on the date. That time is great though.

Oh and Vombatus, we require 1,000 word essay before we consider any new membership.

And then there is the franchise fee.
