It was Bonderman, perhaps, and his coupla strikeouts that prevents Uncle Rico from exacting his revenge on the Chimps. One strikeout is all that gave the Chimps an oh-so-impressive 7-6 victory.

I had to rotate starting pitchers on and off the waiver wire all week long and I still only managed a tie in the K line. At least that strategy didn't hurt me in the ERA but got me the IP and W points.

It was also nice of my batters to take the weekend off and not take advantage of some weak hitting Chimps.

h well, I beat him head-to-head twice last year only to fall in the playoffs. May that pattern hold true again.

Dead Flowers, you're next - err, you're first.

Please all game summaries should be in straight AP copy not the fancy stuff.

Hey Modaho, you made a BIG mistake when you started talking stuff...you forgot I also had the great Pedro Martinez on the mound today. Betcha he had that one extra K! Muahahahahah!!

This is the first of many head-to-head wins I will have this year.

    Sincerely yours,
    Back-To-Back CHAMPS

(not chimps, Modaho, you might want to hire a copy editor...)

Idaho's wife, left, decides she's tired of life with a husband who is a looser at fantasy baseball, so she hits the dance floor with two-time NIAFL champ BYH, right.

Sorry, pal. When Doc Idaho hits the dancefloor, she needs someone who dances for longer than eight seconds.

But, seriously. Congrats on the win. I gave it my all and worked my roster daily to make sure you didn't get the K point. That was my secondary goal after you talked smack about how you'd win the Ks every week.

You had the better fantasy baseball team -- this week. If Pujols (and Drew, and a bunch of other guys) ever decided to start swinging the stick, I might have been the one bragging.

Longing for Another Slice of Hilton Room Service Pizza

    September 30, 2005

ROOM 2035 (AP)-- In the audience Saturday at the World Series, among the 46,000 SportsJournalists.com members, lurkers, movie producers, contest winners, beer guzzlers, hip-hop stars and lucky locals who knew somebody who knew somebody, there were two stars for the Evil Hots, 21 and Boom.

They sat in the stands, in their bathrobes, and rooted on their players. They were teammates in the magical sense, and they were about to win it all.

And both made it a point to fly in from wherever they were in their professional schedule just to sit together Saturday. 21, who earns millions, flew by private plane. Boom, who's on his fourth BMW in five years, was going to buy a ticket and fly commercial. But he drove instead, so he could listen to XM.

It was loyalty, sure. And it was exciting, no doubt. But in talking to both owners, it was more than that. It was a chance to do something almost all of us would love to do: make out in the stands.

Really, it's shit like that which makes this league what it is.

That and the Randy "Macho Man" Savage-like trash-talking.

Well, I left it on the tee for somebody. Anybody care to let the big dog eat?

Since when is a half game lead over two teams commanding? ;)
