I have some sad news. There is a chance that I may have to break with tradition and be sober for the football draft.

We have to go to SoCal that evening. I've brought forth a plan that includes me still getting tanked before lunch and then sleeping in the car while she drives. So far, the response has not been positive.

 

Were you tanked last season when you drafted the championship team?? How can you fuck with that kind of success?

Is she not a good driver? Or is she scared you'll puke in the car?? Does she understand that Mr. Sunshine is going to be drafting with one hand on the placenta? Everyone has to compromise.

Or move the draft. We will understand.

 

I was drunk during last year's draft. I think I have been for every draft. There might have been one or two sober times, but not that I recall.
I think I've been drunk every time.

Draft time and day is good for everybody. I don't want to move it.

 

Agree the draft is very early--first game is Sept 4.

 

Weekend of the last meaningful preseason game, though. Moving it back a couple days wouldn't hurt, though.

 

If we move it, let's eliminate Sunday and Monday as possible dates.

Tuesday or Wednesday (Aug. 26-27) at the same time could be good. Or if Fridays are good for everyone, move it a week later.

I can't do Aug. 29 or Aug. 30.
I was assuming nobody wanted to draft on that Sunday (Aug. 31) or Labor Day.

I know Aug. 22 is a little early, but the first game will be Sept. 4, and the last weekend before the season starts is Labor Day weekend.

I say we stick with Aug. 22, but let's put it to a formal vote.
