I'm probably just incredibly cynical, but I hate TV cop shows. If portrays them as good guys, which is so far from the truth. Cops, in general, are not in it for the good of society. It just makes me sick every single time I read a new case of police brutality. Cops are in their job for the power-trip and to chance to be a bully. The "code" is the lamest thing there is. Imagine a journalist not speaking up about another journalist's case after case of plagerism? God, it feels GREAT every time I read about a cop who was seriously injured or killed.
