Not even close to the craziest thing a middle-school sports parent has done

Yet another case of an adult not taking responsibility for their own actions. Or inaction, in this case. And a fine example she's setting for her kid(s).

Gotta love the last quote in the story.

The school, by state athletic association bylaws, was supposed to have a sit-down with athletes and explain the rules. It appears they didn't. Also, why didn't the school have a list of students ineligible to play sports, or send an alert to the mom at the end of seventh grade that her son would be ineligible? The school did screw up here, so I can see why the mom is pissed.

On the other hand, she refused when a school board member out of his own pocket offered to reimburse her, and now she's trying to screw with the system's levy initiative. As others have mentioned, it might have been nice if she got so passionate to find out why her son's grades sucked.

But that's the pattern with this stuff: school messes up, handles things in a ham-handed way, and already daft parents go ape-shit.
