BC made the mistake of winning too often.

Something Navy is smart enough not to repeat.

My bad . . . last time I looked at the ND extended (last year), they were set up through 2015 or so.
Too bad. It's a natural. They should play every damn year, but I guess only
the service academies get that privilege.

Mustard, this is ridiculous. I don't hear anyone saying Notre Dame's playing a particularly tough schedule this year. By their usual standards, it's fairly light.
But it's not "a joke" that "anyone associated with creating it should feel shame" about. If it's light, that's because Purdue (who they play every year) and UCLA are projected to have down seasons and Stanford and UNC are even worse than usual. But these are all major programs who, when the games were set up five years ago, could be quite capable of beating Notre Dame (except maybe UNC). Air Force looks solid and Michigan State usually gives the Irish serious problems. And I'd give Georgia Tech and Penn State a few more weeks before I write them off as patsies.

Notre Dame's schedule is tougher than West Va. (They play one team, maybe two, that'll even sniff the top 25.)
It's tougher than Texas. (They play OSU, and who? Rice, Baylor, North Texas and Sam Houston State, all on one schedule??)
It's comparable to Ohio State's (both play Mich. and Penn State. OSU plays Texas, ND plays USC. Iowa gives OSU the edge, but it's not a huge one over Ga. Tech).
And to USC's (yes, four teams that are currently ranked, plus Notre Dame, but aside from ND, does any of them really have much chance to win?)

You're right, it's not as tough as they usually play. And it's probably not as tough as playing an SEC schedule week in, week out. But it's no lighter than your typical BCS conference team that has at least three gimmes on its conference schedule and 2 or 3 lightweights on the nonconference slate. Nothing to be ashamed of.

It's mugh lighter than "not particularly tough." But I'll give them all the credit in the world. If they can run the table and make it into the national title hunt with this schedule, why play anybody? Hell, just beat the stuffing out of a bunch of lightweights, play a tough game or two and laugh all the way to the bank.

    Opponents
Notre Dame: 2 or 3 (depending on the poll) Top 25. 1 Top 10.
    West Va.: 1 Top 25. 0 Top 10.
    Texas: 4 Top 25. 1 Top 10.
    Ohio State: 3 or 4 Top 25. 1 Top 10.
    SoCal: 4 Top 25. 1 Top 10.

I disagree that it's no lighter than your typical BCS conference team.

I don't know Ohio State is only the #1 Ranked team and rolled over Texas so they must not be any good.

Your just all jealous of Ohio State. We send more players to the NFL then any other program so what you going to say about that.

It's "you're" not "your," and "than" not "then." You may want to try using proper punctuation, too.

Sure. Instead of actually making some valid points you want to play silly games and act like a five year old who did not get their way.
