Just played well enough? You need to go back and watch the second half then. ND held Tech to less than 100 yards, and only 259 in the game.

They actually held Ga. Tech to 66 yards in the second half, and 11 minutes time of possession. Tech barely crossed the 50 yard line (punted once from ND's 49).
It was a strange game, though. Watching it, it didn't feel like Notre Dame's defense was playing all that well, certainly not the front 7. They didn't make any big plays, just sort of let Georgia Tech make mistakes. Seemed like they had Johnson pretty well covered, though.
They'll need to be more aggressive to beat Michigan, but I wouldn't put them in the fraud category just yet.

Good point - it just seemed like a very methodical defensive effort. Kept waiting for Zbikowski or Abiamiri or one of their stars to make a big play, though the Ndukwe hit on Johnson seemed like a little bit of a turning point in the first half.

That is an outstanding strategy any time against the Jackets.

I'd like to see Notre Dame play Mississippi State
    At a neutral site
Or at either one of em's home field.

Think you might get a better read on ND this weekend.

I'm just not seeing it, either. But I've certainly been wrong before.

Watching the game on Saturday I couldn't help but think that Reggie Ball was a freshman at Tech during Ruben Sierra's rookie year with the Rangers. Fucking guy's been there forever.

Yeah, I thought the same thing with Nate Hybl from OU.

interesting trivia, nate hybl had two national championship rings from two different schools in two different sports -- ou for football and uga for golf.
