The Beatrice (Neb.) Daily Sun is reporting that Nebraska fired Callahan last week but has refused to answer his phone or open his mail or come out of his office except for practice.
In other news, Romenesko is reporting that The Good Doctor is the new executive sports editor of the The Beatrice (Neb.) Daily Sun.

Are you telling me that the resume and clips I sent to Beatrice Daily Sun, attention of Sports Editor The Good Doctor, are going to be trashed?

I should have been more sensitive about how I broke the news to you and everyone else who sent their resume and clips to the Daily Sun. However, my sources at the DS tell me The Good Doctor's hiring was a slam dunk. There was really nothing you or I could do about it.
