Too many coincidences for me. They're as dirty as anybody else in the league. Throw in the fact that LaRussa is a sanctimonious prick (see the "I'll start swinging this fungo" line) and they deserve every bit of negative speculation they're getting.

He'll ignore it, hoist an unsubstantiated allegation of wrongdoing on the part of the NY Daily News and then write something condescending toward you, BYH. It's all in a day of message board posting.

    then maybe you should reread.

writing: "driving 60 in a 50 is not the equiv. of taking hgh, period" is not being a dick.

when somebody denies that fact three or four times, what are they? full of shit?

there were no fuck yous and no you sucks.

I think you just proved my point. I was hoping you might reconsider and rise above the fanboyishness. Guess not. You just keep on hating Pujols for beating on your favorite team so much. Perhaps the rest of us can have a serious conversation about Ankiel, against whom there is actual evidence.

I think I'll continue to join in the serious conversation. Last time I checked this was still a free country.

Why this comes as a shock to anyone is a mystery to me. LaRussa has a history of condoning this type of activity.

What is your issue Moddy? Do you need a hug or something? Does every one of your posts have to include me? You have a personal issue with me, you know how to PM and if you want conversation, take the blocker off. I don't post and you throw me in the mix.
    LET IT GO!
As for Ankiel, I believe this story is stuck until he talkss or produces the drugs to show they haven't been used.

  10. As a phanboy looser, my reaction is the opposite. I think this is more pervasive than just a few players and I'm waiting on the other shoe to drop. I look at the teams I root for (Philly-based) and the players who've made quick (McNabb) and even miraculous (T.O.) comebacks and can't help but wonder ...

Bottom line is we're probably wrong if we think it's just guys on other teams ...

Wonder if Ankiel gets a standing o from the lemmings ala Tony after the DUI.
Hey, you win, kill someone for all we care!

  12. You honestly don't have a problem with the substance of this NYDN piece "linking" Ankiel to HgH, even though in Paragraph 10, it is revealed that he a) did nothing wrong, and b) that not even the investigators think he did anything criminal?
