I am not at all surprised at any of this. Karen Crouse is among THE most decent people and most caring and upstanding journalists that there could be. She always has been.

Has anyone checked in on Boom? Is he issuing the official SJ.com statement?

I actually thought of Crouse a few days ago when all the stuff with Simone Biles was going on.

I wondered if the NYT was sorry it hadn't sent Crouse to the Olympics, so that she could be put all over that story. Given that Crouse is going to be talking to/writing about Michael Phelps and his mental health issues, the irony and timeliness of the Biles situation is uncanny.

Maybe Crouse can write the definitive Biles story for Vanity Fair or ghost write it for The Players Tribune.
