I am committed to taking a bowel movement at 8:42 p.m. Let's see if I do.

Put that in one hand and a promise from John Fisher in the other, see which gets filled first.

Been watching the Giants, per my custom, but what's happening in Oakland is beyond surreal.

Well, don’t keep us waiting. SJ Nation needs to know. At least, I do.

Watched the A’s game on MLB TV. Good for them. Probably won’t impact a damn thing but good for them.

So many of my friends are As fans and I used to laugh at them but now I really feel for them.

Making donations to any charity contingent on ticket sales is bullshit, it means the customers are making the donation. It makes it look like the ball club is actually hoping ticket sales aren't very good.

Bill Veeck outlined his strategy in some of his various books:

    1) Make a large, significant donation to the charity independent of tickets sold

    2) Use the game as promotional opportunity to give the charity a boost in publicity, raise its profile to increase follow-on and continuing fundraising. Make it something people talk about for more than one night.
