Obama and the KKK

I watched the video. It was disturbing. But I didn't take as a threat per se, more of a prediction. And honestly, it isn't a prediction that most Americans haven't thought: If a black man either has a serious shot at the presidency or becomes the president, some racist bastard will shoot him. I'm sure the Secret Service is afraid of that, which is why Obama is being protected right now (and I believe is the only candidate other than Hillary, who has hers as part of her status as former First Lady). So it would be hard to legally make the case that the KKK guy threatened him.

This isn't surprising. He's a minority, and there are plenty of racists in this country who wouldn't be happy that a minority was leading their country. What is surprising is that I haven't yet heard of anyone claiming the first woman president will be assassinated. Honestly. I know sexism is not on the hatred-level of racism, but I'm sure there's somebody out there who would hate nothing more than for a woman to be president.

    What's the Orange Parade?

It's the annual parade (July 12th) by the Orange Order, a virulent anti-Catholic association from Northern Ireland.

In good old WASPY Toronto --even back in the early 60's--ten thousand people would routinely show up for the parade. I think they still have it here--maybe a few dozen show up.

Back then the Catholics were the Muslims of their day.

I'm sure FB has a few things to say about them.

What are you smoking? If you don't think that that wasn't a threat, I'd like to know what you do consider to be a threat.

I don't care much for Obama, but this sounds like the sheethead could be brought up on domestic terrorism charges to me just for making this threat. The thing going for the sane beings in the country is that no matter who the President is, there are always groups who want him dead -- and since Reagan's close call, our secret service has done its job on keeping the POTUS safe.

God, ain't that the truth. I've worked with the SS twice, and it's a pain in the ass. Seriously.

I have had to deal with the SS 3 times, never had anything but a good experience.

The SS don't play. They are more intimidating than any law enforcement agency I have encountered.

Did your European ancestors sneak over the southern border and avoid the immigration process that was in effect at that time? Just wondering.
