They would have to face some sort of court martial or something like that. Some sort of disciplinary proceeding.

P.S. I think. Maybe there is something in international law that dictates a different result. I don't know. It is my understanding that you can't kill someone who is attempting to surrender when you know you are not in danger and they are clearly surrendering. Maybe there are exceptions to that. I don't know.

Both Bush & Cheney have had to alter travel plans for fear of being arrested.

If they followed orders, give them a parade.

I think the .00001 percent of the population you represent is questioning Obama and the SEALs. The rest of us are thanking them.
Their fears aren't probative of jack.

So, we've never prosecuted and never would prosecute a soldier/sailor/airman/marine for killing an unarmed person during combat when they could have been taken into custody?

I think you just changed everything.

The Anti-Obama brigade has finally exposed its true nature.

Simpering and whimpering about the human rights of dear sweet Osama Bin Laden. Jesus Virgin Mother Fucking Christ.

If Obama had given orders that allowed Bin Laden to leave that house alive, he should have been impeached the next morning by congressional acclamation.

And you do all realize, of course, Obama could have saved himself a lot of headaches by issuing an order that nobody -- not one breathing soul, no sweet little 12-year-old daughters, NOBODY -- was to leave the house alive. Shit, that's what I would have done.

I voted for him in 2008. I will vote for him again in 2012. I am 99.9 percent certain that everything was kosher here. As a journalist, I think that it needs to be independently investigated, particularly in light of the revelation that bin Laden was unarmed.

Ask John Kerry how combat sent in a sovereign country.

If the GOP's reaction strategy will be anything like YF's stylings, my response is "ohpleaseohpleaseohplease"
