    Gotta love how the backup catchers like Lombardozzi and Karkovice (who pushed Fisk out in Chicago) had semi-lengthy playing careers.

    How does Tim Wallach deserve to be on the list? He had a 17-year career, was a five-time all-star, three-time gold glover, and finished as high as fourth in the MVP race.
    (Not to mention most of his career took place in the '80s)

    Lombardozzi also had exactly one of his career at-bats in the '90s.

    His career was really in the '80s.

    Which makes him the ultimate obscure 90's baseball player.

    You could pick about any of the Yankees pitchers from, say, 1992, and nearly all are obscure: Shawn Hillegas, Lee Guetterman, John Habyan, Sam Militello.

    Please make me stop.
