In 1934, the Ford Motor Co. got an unusual endorsement of the company's V8 model. Who wrote the endorsement letter? Detroiters may know this one.

"While I still have got breath in my lungs I will tell you what a dandy car you make," bank robber/killer Clyde Barrow wrote to Henry Ford on April 10, 1934. "I have drove Fords exclusively when I could get away with one." Barrow and Bonnie Parker were killed about 6 weeks later.
The letter is on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich.

Seems like a curious choice of unofficial, unpaid pitchman to accentuate.
