    Agreed, most acts would love to have performance like that and claim it was the worst gig they'd ever played.

    The Who's raging dysfunction is one of things that inexplicably made it work. Paul Rees's recent bio of John Entwistle does a good job of chronicling that, both on and off stage.

    What I love in watching videos of The Who live is seeing Pete and Keith look at each other during a jam. Keith looks like a puppy dog staring at his owner.
