That's all three, Schmidt, Van Brocklin and Fears.

Not gonna ask, and I couldn't find the answer, but I wonder how many Hall of Fame players were active in 1969. Looking at All-Pro and Pro Bowl teams, it was a lot: Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Sonny Jurgenen, Fran Tarkenton, Joe Namath, Len Dawson, Gale Sayers, Mike Ditka, Dick Butkus, Joe Greene, Deacon Jones, Merlin Olson, Tom Mack, Alan Page, Ray Nitschke, Jackie Smith, Lem Barney, Bob Lilly, Mel Renfro, Herb Addeley, Mick Tingelhoff, Paul Warfield, Charlie Sanders, Willie Wood, Nick Buoniconti, Willie Lanier, Bobby Bell, Willie Brown, Johnny Robinson, Jan Stenerud, Fred Biletnikoff, Floyd Little, Jim Otto, Lance Alworth, Buck Buchanan, Gene Upshaw, Art Shell, Don Maynard, Ken Houston, Emmitt Thomas, Larry Little and O.J. Simpson.

    That's 42 and I probably missed others

Wow. Off the top of my head, HOFers not on this list would include George Blanda, Ray Nitschke, Ted Hendricks, Chris Hanburger and Ken Houston. This could be a massive spreadsheet for me to put together

Just read this on twitter and just too damn unusual not to share: name the only player to be struck by lighting in his debut with his new team and then toss a no-hitter 17 days later.

Slim Caldwell, when he was with the Indians.

He was an excellent pitcher with the early Yankees, struggled with alcohol, then came back with the Indians and was a key pitcher on the 1920 championship team.

That is correct. Also, didn’t come out of the game after being struck.

What year had the most Pro Football Hall of Fame players on NFL rosters? Hint it is not 1969, which had 73.

that would be a correct assumption. Actually only took a few hours over the course of a couple of days. Broke it down doing HOF Enshrinement by decade

Will add a hint: there were 77 HOFers

chiefs had eight. Dawson, Stenerud, Bell, Culp, Buchanan, Lanier, Robinson, Thomas.
