I know it was a big deal when the Dodgers put Los Angeles on their unis. But I don't know if the years jive, etc.

 

The New York Yankees?

 

OK, so I just looked for pics of Babe Ruth in a road uniform and found one that said “New York” on it. Scratch that one.

 

The Athletics? I think they just went with the "A" on their chest for both uniforms during their entire existence in Philadelphia.

 

Red Sox?

 

The Angels had Los Angeles on their uniforms in the early days and Anaheim for a period and now don’t use Los Angeles on anything. There’s no LA branding at all.

 

Yes, the A's. They did not have the name of the city on their road uniforms until several y ears after moving to Kansas City.

 

And the Phillies have never had "Philadelphia" on their uniforms either.

 

Have the Phillies ever had "Philadelphia" on their uniforms? Near as I can tell they've always had just a "P" or "Phillies" on both the home and away uniforms.
