I would say Mathewson and Alexander, but it seems like they would have matched each other many times…

So I’ll guess Young and Three-finger Brown?

Whatever happened while you were typing that answer made that read oddly.

Alexander is the other pitcher. He was a rookie in 1911, Cy Young's final year. They met for the first and only time on 9/7/1911, with Alexander winning 1-0. Young only pitched 11 games for the Rustlers after leaving the Cleveland Naps, then retired.

Only six NFL players have had 300 receiving yards or more in a single game.

    Name them.

And Calvin Johnson did it once, too, right?

Stephone Paige, who held the record until Flipper broke it.

Anderson, Johnson and Paige are all correct.

Three more to go. Hint: One is active.

Cloyce Box (sp). He was an old lions guy from the 1950s. I’ve always liked the unusual name.

The other is from that era, and it’s driving me nuts because I should know it. I remember him having an odd career. He was a pre war star, was plagued by injuries , and then had some big years in his 30s, which was unusual at the time.
