Before Paul Skenes, who was the last Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher to start an all-star game?

Gerrit Cole in 2023 doesn't count?

I know so I won't answer but I'll add, before Corbin Burnes, who was the last Orioles pitcher to start an all-star game?

I hope it's not a spoiler, but both teams had the longest stretch in their league without an ASG starter.

Close, but not quite. Ellis started the 1971 All-Star Game. This guy was a couple of years after that.

According to the Paul Goldenberger book "Ballpark," which was the first "modern" MLB stadium, i.e. constructed primarily of concrete and steel, not of wood?

"Ballpark" is a fantastic read if you are a stadium geek. Or if you're not and just a baseball fan.

PS: Former Oriole Jerry Walker, the youngest pitcher to ever start an All-Star game (20, in 1959) a precursor to Paul Richards' Baltimore "Kiddie Korps," died yesterday at 85. I remember having his baseball card as a kid.
