How the game could have ended and how it did end are two different things.
The reality is that the very best team in I-AA beat one of the best, on paper, teams in I-A. D-I might get more scholarships, but they can still only put 11 out on the field.
To me it shatters the myth that Rivals has built that its recruit rankings are the most important thing. Let's not forget that the two best defensive players in the SEC last season - Patrick Willis and Jamaal Anderson - had no stars at the start of their high school senior season. Yet both manged to go in the first round of the NFL draft.
And can someone let Dyepack back on to explain to everyone how great the Big 10 is?
    Please...

  2. Did someone call?

  3. Haha, love to do that every now and then to get everyone's blood going ...

Don't know about anyone else, but this game makes me want the Big Ten network a lot more.

Why go for two unless it is your last possession? Or maybe second to last? I will never understand that.

Well, you are right recruiting inst everything... which is why Michigan needs a coach who doesnt crap the bed. One who inst afraid to pass to the second best receiver in the nation (Manningham) down two in the fourth quarter with a corner back 5-7 inches shorter than he is.

Lloyd got jobbed by a coach with fewer resources. I hope he enjoys his hot seat.
