how does it feel to be a cubs fan and see the red sox, the white sox, and quite possibly the tigers, losers of 119 in 03, challenge for the world series in consecutive years? suck it.

 

The real explanation behind so many writers and editors leaving The KC Star during recent months? Yeah, blame it on the Royals.

(OK, so career advancement and some nice chunks of change had something to do with it, too, but we can all blame it on the boys in The K.)

 

It is criminal how management has let what was once a signature franchise in doing things right get this fucking decrepit.

At least come out and tell your fans that you're not trying.

All looking for the first three-game losing streak for an excuse to cut and dump, clear the payroll, and field a Class AAAA team for the rest of the season. One-fourth of the teams in MLB completely give it up on Opening Day. Another fourth kick the bucket by Memorial Day. At the trading deadline, another quarter abandon all hope, leaving the fortunate 6 or 8 teams which actually think they can win to fight it out down the stretch.
