Official Running NCAA/March Madness thread

I have no issues with the people at Liberty. I'm friends with plenty, and the people in athletics were great to work with. That said, this is as good of a team as Tech has ever had, and it would suck for the road to end against LU, a school that three years ago was one of the 10 worst programs in the country. What Ritchie has done over there is nothing short of amazing.

At this level, I don’t have a problem with Izzo getting in a player’s face. You go to a place like Michigan State so that you can play for a paycheck one day. If you don’t want that or the scrutiny, go play for Hope or Albion.

Football and basketball players on scholarships in Power 5 get:
A full ride.
Pretty much of the food they can handle.
They could have a different woman every night if they want one.
Access to tutors and sympathetic professors.
They get access to job opportunities after college if they can tuck in a dress shirt and show up on time.

I think they can handle getting yelled at. Especially as coaches will yell over stupid mental mistakes. They’re not going to yell if someone is missing open threes. That’s part of the deal.

If you’re chucking up a 23-footer out of rhythm up 17 early in the shot clock, you should get yelled at.
