I've been to Vegas three times. Not a big gamber but I had a GREAT time.

We can't confirm right now but this sounds like a blast.

Who's gonna be responsible for booking tickets to Celine's show? :)

I'll be doing either a Cirque show (but not the ones with nekkid chicks) or a classic like Gladys Knight.

Let me just share a little advice, you can thank me later:

Do not--DO NOT--go to the utterly weird and pointless Cirque du Soleil 'LOVE' show. I cannot believe the Beatles haven't sued or set the theater on fire.

You know when your kids decide to put on a show for you, and they get the boombox and make tickets and then they make you sit there for an hour while they run around jumping and posing and using your good clothes for costumes and pretending they have a plan? And you're just trying to stay awake and looking interested? Yeah. It's like that.

Although George Clooney was there the night after I was, so you never know.

You want to see Cirque, order far in advance and get tickets to O. Stunningly good. Otherwise, waste the same money at blackjack.

The show has the blessing of the Beatles, apparently.

Only Ringo could be responsible for this.

I was just in Vegas Wed-Sat. Thursday morning I got up at 6:30 a.m. Vegas time and walked around a bit. Streets were dead. I was a bit surprised. But there were a bunch of joggers. I wondered if they were tourists or regulars.

Maybe I should go again for the SportsJournalists.com meeting and bring my bike, too!

That would explain it. 'Yes, we completely agree that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds should be performed by dancing flaming clown children while fish-covered mimes wave sparkly banners that make the audience feel it is suspended in sperm!'

For those of you wondering about price, I just took a trip that cost $350 for flight and three days of a hotel (Flamingo, Wed-Fri nights). Eight of us went on the trip, but that's not what made the price. Me and one other guy booked together. Just got a good rate back in May, I think it was.

Looking right now, if someone were booking for around those dates in March/April, flying out of Cleveland, two people could stay at Circus Circus for $364, IP for $392, Hooters for $440, Luxor for $452, or Flamingo for $485. If two people from the same area are going, get together and save some cash!

Michael Jackson owned the Beatles catalog for many years. He bought it at a time Paul was trying to get it back. I think he sold his interest to Sony in late 2005 to raise enough cash to keep his lifestyle afloat, but I could be wrong. However, based on 21's experience, it seems he did have some creative input when this show was put together.
