I won't be able to make dinner. I asked for the 31st-2nd off, so I'm sure I'll be on a plane on the 2nd to make sure I'm back in time for work on the 3rd.

If game is 6:30 Vegas time, we better get to a restaurant by 4 p.m., 4:30 at the latest. Because I'm sure some of us will be drinking and shooting the shit and generally paying no attention to the time, and getting a whole group's orders out at the same time will take time for the kitchen. So, there you go.
    And, yeah, I'm in(ish).

I would go, but I simply can't tear myself away from non-league softball in early April. Just can't do it. Not even for you guys.

I REALLY wish Doc and I could attend this one. I looked at flights today since we could possibly get the days off without taking a vacation day, but we're saving for a honeymoon, dammit.

    There's always Dallas.

Dallas is less likely. It sounds like they're planning it right around the time we're getting married.

    Hello? Honeymoon in Dallas.

(Not that I would want to honeymoon with a fleet of sportswriters, but sometimes you gotta sacrifice.)

When did the dates change? I thought the shindig was supposed to start earlier, for those of us who might have to be back for the first evil day of high school spring sports.

Isn't anybody flying in, say, Thursday, and staying the weekend? <sigh>

    Yes.

But the dates were always supposed to coincide with basketball, too.

Changing the dates at this late date threw a lot of people for a loop. I took the orginal dates off b/c I had to have my vacation in before the new year, like a lot of people.

Paper, I'm flying in on Saturday, I believe.

Just get there when you get there. I'm staying the whole weekend, I think.

And I've already started my Sephora shopping list...

I know we've put this out there before, but any ideas on the best place to watch the game?

Wait, what were the "original" dates? And who changed them?
