I think everybody's on their way home at least. I'm back, and looks like Joe is too.

Cadet's flight left around 4 and Buck was leaving right after that.

I think OTD and BNWriter left this morning as well.

 

You have any ice cubes you could put in a big bowl, joe?

 

The way to quickly chill a warm beer:

Put some crushed or chipped ice in a bowl.
Put the can on its side on top of the ice. It helps if it's an even top layer.
Using the index fingers of both hands, spin the beer over the ice.
(Picture the way a log rolls in log rolling)
Do it for about 5-10 minutes and you've got a frosty brew.

 

Home. After one last stop on the Strip this afternoon, and a quick drive through the desert and down the hill. The second wind I'm on now will last about 6 minutes, 24 seconds longer and then I'm toast.

Capped off the trip with a beer-tinted, dorm-room-philosophical-discussion all-nighter with 'Chickie and Joe last night. I think my body's about 80% alcohol at this point -- goddamn, this was a fun trip. ... And after all the gambling was said and done, I didn't spend a dime of my own money. Joe might not have, either.

Feel envious, SJ. Envious, dammit!

Without the sticky, this will drop a bit, but I'm sure when the Vegas people get their rest and begin to tell their stories, the thread will float back to the surface ...
