    Top 5 mind-numbing drives:

    1. Interstate 10 between El Paso and San Antonio
    2. Interstate 70 in Kansas
    3. Interstate 10 between Palm Springs and Phoenix
    4. Interstate 70 in Missouri
    5. Interstate 75 between Atlanta and the Florida line

I nominate I-57, once you get south of Chicago. Same for I-55, between Chicago and St. Louis.

    4. The Arch in St. Louis
    3. The spot where four states meet
    2. Hershey, Pa.
    1. South of the Border

South of the Border . . . good times. Not only does it have a gigantic fireworks place, the worst food I've had at an Interstate truck stop (and that's saying a lot), but it at least used to have a sex shop. Pretty weird, especially for Dillon, S.C.

I am going to renew my vote for I-39, Rockford to Bloomington-Normal.

I am voting for I-64 between St. Louis and Louisville. I was short on gas once while driving on 64 and didn't see a gas station for about 30 miles. I'm sure glad my gas light comes on entirely too early or I might have run out.

    Child's play.

The entire length of I-74 is ripped straight from hell. As is I-80 for its entire ride through Iowa. I'm sure it gets even better west of Lincoln, Neb.

And try the four-lane U.S. 41/Ind. 63 from Schererville to Evansville in Indiana, you'll want to eat a gun. The ride between I-74 and the Region is inconceivably boring and remote, while south of Terre Haute, you hit entirely too many lights serving too many podunk towns.

Between I-74 and Terre Haute is our nation's stores of nerve gas and chemical weapons! Tell 'em Bubbler sent ya!

Jeez, Shottie, I love me some Raspberries, but damn, I can't condone that list aside from No. 2.

5 (tie). I'm A Rocker, Don't Want To Say Goodbye
    4. Hard To Get Over A Heartbreak
    3. Go All The Way
    2. I Saw The Light (not Todd Rundgren)
    1. Tonight

I do love Lovefool, though, and I feel no guilt about it whatsoever.

"Tonight" should have made my list.

But I stand by "All For Love" being one of Carmen's unsung gems. And the chord progressions of "Let's Pretend" is pop at its finest.

I think Gimme Shelter has to be on any Stones "top five" list but after that the list is very wide for the other 4.
