Oh no, not another relationship thread

I swear, this is eye-opening to me. I have only heard "They hooked up" in terms of having sex. I had no idea it had a meaning of 'we made out a little and cuddled.'

To me, that's like ... well ... making out a little and cuddling. But whatever.

Point still stands, perhaps even more so, CR. Because anyone can be drunk enough to have sex. But cuddling and waking up with a smile ... Goddamn. Call her. Jesus.

 

If you were the female on the other end, would you be calling him or chewing his ass because he didn't call you?

 

If I were the female?

a.) I'd never drunkenly make out with a frat boy.

b.) If I did, I wouldn't have acted like a bitch when we all went to the movies.

c.) If I did, I probably wouldn't have enough backbone or brain to call him, so I guess I'd have to wait for him to call me. Like this girl.

 

To be fair, I didn't get the impression there was sex involved. He said she woke up in his arms...I assumed they passed out that way.

But still.

 

I am not perfect myself, but I thought the piling-on reached a ridiculous level a page or two back. He knows our opinion, now it's up to him to crap or get off the pot.

I also vote for him to show some balls. I've had similar situations to this in the past (though not through greek events) where I've been a pansy ass and effed up. CR, don't become like me.

 

Not sure how old you are SC (I'm not asking, just making the point), but I'm 35 and this was going on when I was an undergrad. I have one female friend from my college days that I have never known exactly what she meant when using the phrases "fooling around" or "hooked up." I do know of plenty of occasions with women I knew that they made out with a guy, cuddled or even had sex and really weren't into the guy. It was either the alcohol or revenge on another guy or lonliness or whatever.

And wicked, you're right...the piling on has gotten to be a bit much. And CR definitely would regret not pursuing this more than he could ever regret being rejected (if that were to happen).

 

The judgment calls on his close female friend were fucking ridiculous.
