Some teams don't need to pass. Arkansas (No. 102), West Virginia (106), Wake Forest (108) and Rutgers (113) don't rate well when it comes to team passing yards.

But if you run the football and play good defense, you can beat a lot of teams.

Hmm....that describes a Big Ten team who has only one loss all season....if only I could remember which team that is....

George Peppard is thinking real hard on that, it looks like.

    OK, you got me here.

That said, Wisconsin has not beaten a top 25 team to look better in the people's eyes. And Rutgers has beaten a top 10 team.

Get out. I had no idea.

Props to ESPN for providing oversaturation of a great game nearly five days before it actually airs.

The B-10 is down this year. Look at Penn St., Iowa, and Purdue having bad years, according to their standards. Wisconsin may look like a fraud with Stocco out with a bad shoulder, but they played well enough to beat Iowa.

OSU and UM are heads above better than the league teams this year.

Yes, they are the best two teams in the conference; but that doesn't make the rest of the conference bad...

slappy, it on how some pundits make it sound like they are bad.

Except the other nine haven't beaten a currently ranked opponent this season. And as Junkie and others might ask of Rutgers, who have they beaten?

    Louisville.....check.
    Rutgers.....Dec. 2.

    Game of the Century?

Uh, weren't USC and Texas both undefeated last January when they met in the Rose Bowl for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, not the Big Ten title?

USC and Texas both (arguably) have as much, or probably more, tradition than Ohio State and Michigan. USC has six coaches poll NCs, Texas 4, Ohio State 3, Michigan 1. SC has seven Heisman winners, Ohio State 5.

Game of the season, for sure. But not the game of the century by a long shot.

Apparently, Michigan administrators are warning their students of the danger Columbus presents those who decide to make the trip this week.
