Actually I'm a native, dumbass, but not Ann's daughter. She was older than my grandmother. Born in Baytown right outside of Houston. I've got family in Tomball, Austin, San Antonio and Caldwell, so go fuck yourself.

And Ann was a wonderful human being, which is more than I can say for you.

Not surprising that Democrats would dominate a metropolitan area.

Go easy, LJB. It's pretty tough to watch your entire set of expectations go up in flames in just 24 hours. Poor Yawn is grasping at straws that aren't even there to make this palatable. I'm personally having trouble hearing him over all of the concession speeches being delivered by Republicans who thought nothing was going to change today. Care to turn it up a little, Yawn?

Dallas always struck me as old money and old school conservative. But I haven't been there since I was a kid.

One set of expectations up in 24 hours. Another's to kingdom come in two years.

Gonna be a rough 24 months if that's all you've got to look forward to. Oh, wait, I'll save you some typing...

"I'm looking forward to you Dems/Socialists/Libs/Communists/terrorists screwing up the country for two years."

    Sound about right to you?

Metropolitan areas, no matter where they are, are traditionally Dem strongholds. Not that familiar with Texas politics, but I'm guessing a number of those seats are occupied by conservative Democrats, who still have a lot of support throughout the South.

It's a huge turnaround for the county in terms of voting. Everything there has been dominated by the Republicans for years. Bush still owns a house in the richie-rich suburb of Dallas and attends church there occasionally. The influential people in town have traditionally been very conservative.

I can't find numbers to back it up, but the vast majority of those seats (mostly judgeships, also the local DA race) were occupied by Republicans.

Can anyone tell me what he's babbling about? I can't make heads or tails of his incoherent posts.
