I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen that area used as a derogative since the last time the ladies of SportsJournalists.com were up in arms about it. Unless, of course, you're counting the time IJAG said I chickened out of an arm-wrestling match with Ryan Sonner because I had "sand in my vagina." You can tell yourselves it happens often here, but it's simply not the case anymore.

Guess we must be reading different boards, Doc, cause it happens on here frequently. Wasn't aware that I'd accused you of being one of the ones who does it, but you do seem quick to defend those that use it.

Just asking that you not paint with so broad a brush is all. We're not all misogynists. For the record, I don't think writing_irish is either; judging from his posting history, he seems like a pretty decent guy.

I love W_Irish, but there's no reason to insult people by calling them parts of the female anatomy. One can be more creative than that.

And you're the one calling people misogynist. I never used the word, nor did I intend to imply it. Like UT said, it's more of an overall cultural thing that's getting very old.

I'll go back and remove my part of the offending post (since that apparently ignited this), and I apologize.

Yeah, I just said your misspelling out loud. Now I get it.

Gundy is one of the coaches who wants it both ways _ publicity for his program but with next to no access to players.
Reid was the QB for an offense that was being hyped as the Greatest Offensive On Earth (or some such SID drivel). The Cowboys implode at Georgia. After a victory over a nothing team and a week off, Robinson opens at QB against Troy. Reid is not injured but no real explanation is given for the sudden change. Robinson, like the team, pisses down his leg in an embarrassing nationally televised loss. Naturally, there are lots of questions revolving around a team that is heading for the crapper.
Gundy is guilty of not controlling the message. He and his staff could have explained the change, even if it was their version of the truth. They chose not to. Gundy is a 40-year-old coach not nearly ready for The Big Time (as big time as it gets in Stillwater).
