Oklahoma State coach Gundy blasts Oklahoman columnist

Ralph, I didn't think the column was anything to write home about, but the coach's reaction was completely out of line. He looked like a complete and total ass. I'm sure he thought it would help him with recruiting or current team morale or he wouldn't have done it, but he looked a fool.

 

so, the one guy who slightly takes your side now is smart? fuck dude, i hope you realize that makes exactly two of you.

please don't take offense when you hear a room full of laughter when you walk out the door ... i'm sure someone will just be telling a joke.

 

SC, I agree the coach looked like an ass, and Petty, my point wasn't to put myself in chilidog's corner. The point I was trying to make (and probably not that well since it's late and I've had a few drinks) is that what Gundy did is not going over nearly as poorly with the public (also known as our readers and the reason we all get to work in sports for a living) as it is on this board.

Glad to see that chilidog is taking after such noted posters as sportsbra and JVD and changing his argument as the winds shift.

As you pointed out Ralph, and I quickly found out, this board is a tad bit biased when it comes to this issue. You know who I really feel sorry for is the OSU beat writer. Think of all the shit he took, and has taken, for that column which he had absolutely nothing to do with. Because I'm quite sure she wasn't the one that saw him getting fed the chicken, it was the beat writer. And I doubt she was the one that was getting all the off-the-record info, it was the beat writer. Now he's going to pay, very unfairly I might add, for that column.
