I fully disagree here.

I cannot tell you how many 40 year old married woman I have known over the past few years who are absolute freaks. They could not be like this when their children were smaller but, once the kids could start school, they found themselves with free time for corn fields and being slowly savored as my guiding hands would firmly bend them over a couch.

I imagine Hamilton was at a point of boredom which led to this. Probably has all the money for a comfortable life and she doesn't need to stay disciplined financially. She needed an outlet and competitive running was out. I can't speak for her husband but I understand they have been together for more than twenty years.

A world-class athlete, whether male or female, thrives on the discipline and pressure of being the best. I also imagine Hamilton would check the rankings to see if she was #3 or #7 or whatever for these Vegas escorts. What I cannot believe is that she divulged who she really was.

I do believe she has a shattered life now. Maybe her husband will stay, maybe not. Yet I strongly doubt that going to this extreme was on her radar 10 years ago.

Perhaps she is just acting out and rebelling later in life. Think of it this way: from age 12 or 13, she was probably a highly-disciplined runner and she didn't let off that until a couple years ago. Afterwards, she needed something and it turned out to be this.

I do think she'll get the help that she needs. Hitting that rock bottom of "the life" isn't easy. Hers is extremely public and that is devastating.
