Zoinks, I really shouldn't have that Smoking Gun report at work.

My favorite bit was that Smoking Gun isn't going to explain the acronyms in the report.

 

It's available in three parts, I think, on Yahoo. I watched it a couple nights ago. She really doesn't come off very good in the interview. Claiming she takes responsibility and then blaming the "disease" in the next sentence and saying things like "that's not Suzy." And the part where she breaks down and cries seems too staged. I also don't believe for a second that before this episode she'd never had sex with anyone other than her husband. He's stuck in a really shitty place. I have no idea how they're still together now other than "for the kid"-- and that the sex for him is probably pretty amazing.

 

It's available on the 20/20 site, but I can't stream it here at work. I'll watch at home, though. Perhaps with the lights down low...

I read the excerpt from the book that ran in SI. It really disturbed me that they've told the whole story, including the hooker/sex parts, to their 10 year old daughter. I don't have kids, so maybe I'm wrong in thinking it's strange to tell a 10 year old that mommy had sex with men for money because she was sick. Seems to me like they could have talked about being bipolar without disclosing everything until the daughter is older.

 

If they don't tell her, someone at school undoubtedly will, or she will find it on Google. 10 years old ain't that young.
